on pair programming for students that explains how to do it
right, courtesy of NC State.
- The Wikipedia is
the ultimate online encyclopedia because it's free and open.
If the definition isn't there or is wrong, you can add it or
correct it yourself. Free information = free society.
- PC Webopaedia
Online Computer Dictionary and Encyclopedia is a reasonable
computing dictionary.
- A student contributed a really
cool dictionary site that contains about a zillion terms
about computers.
- Instructions for connecting
to Truman's network resources from off campus. Warning: these
instructions regularly go out of date
GNU/Linux and Unix Links

Started With GNU/Linux, a guide specifically directed
toward students on the Truman campus.

- Tom Schneider's incredibly complete resource
page for biologists has endless help for non-biologists
also.
- A short guide
to LaTeX. Start here if you're completely unfamiliar with
LaTeX. Also start here to refresh yourself on the basics if
you're rusty.
- A longer guide to LaTeX,
with much more detail than the short guide.
- I recommend PGF
for drawing many of the types of diagrams
needed for completing CS homework, as it supports pdflatex directly.
